Montclair Public Library Director Peter Coyl says that making books mobile runs in his family; his grandmother used to drive a book mobile in throughout rural South Carolina. He wanted to honor her legacy and continue the tradition of making the library more accessible to patrons but with a slight tweak... an eTuk.

Coyl noticed that the Montclair Bread Company had an eTuk rolling around town and knew the three-wheeled vehicle that can easily be “tucked” into a spaces would make a perfect addition to the fleet.

Once the Book Tuk is up and running, it will be making the at the farmer’s market, National Night Out, the YMCA’s summer camps, the town pools and senior centers.

It's also worth mentioning that the Montclair Public Library is doing away with late fines! Just another effort in making their services available to everyone.
