If you thought Williamsburg couldn’t get any quirkier, think again. One of the neighborhood’s newest luxury hotels, the Williamsburg Hotel, has just welcomed one of its anticipated amenities: a pink and white chauffeured tuk-tuk.
What’s a tuk-tuk you ask? Allow us to explain. A tuk-tuk is a three-wheeled vehicle widely used in India and parts of South East Asia, sometimes referred to as a Ricksha, depending on the geography.
Rides are only offered to hotel guests. According to Bedford and Bowery, the 150-room, located at 96 Wythe Avenue, has rates that range from $250 to a steep $600/night.
The tuk-tuk isn’t the only cool amenity brought forth from The Williamsburg Hotel. A water tower bar, rooftop pool, and five other bars are just a few of the other features that hotel guests will get to enjoy during their stay. As for the rest of us, we’ll get to enjoy watching the tuk-tuk make its shuttle runs along Bedford Avenue.
